On September 29, 2022, International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste is celebrated.
We are pleased to announce another transaction which SSK&W law firm advised on.
We advised VC funds – Satus VC and CofounderZone, as well as business angels (among the business angels there were: Arkadiusz Krupicz and Piotr Czajkowski (founders of Pyszne.pl), Marcin Celejewski (previously, inter alia, a board member of Adamed Pharma, head of PKP Intercity and LOT- u), Bartosz Ciołkowski (general director for Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia in Mastercard Europe) and Piotr Markowski (former head of technology at T-Mobile Polska)) on their coinvestment in Foodsi.
Foodsi is an application founded by Mateusz Kowalczyk and Kuba Fryszczyna that allows restaurants and shops to sell surplus food instead of throwing it away. The buyers buy them for as much as a third of the price, and entrepreneurs gain additional income and potentially new customers.

The advisory services included the preparation of a legal due diligence report and negotiation of transaction documentation.
Satus VC is a fund co-financed by PFR Ventures as part of the Starter program.
CofounderZone is a platform connecting experienced entrepreneurs with start-ups. The fund works closely with the Business Angels network it has created, which provides added value through an individual approach to structuring and financing transactions on the private market and uses the substantive potential, contacts and experience of its members. It includes business owners and corporate managers who want to invest their time and capital in developing, innovative companies.
SSK&W provides services to VC funds when investing in technology companies (as part of pre-seed and seed rounds and subsequent rounds, including preIPO), as well as when exiting the investment.
