2024 was another great year for SSK&W law firm based on the number of technology deals we advised on.
Altogether we advised on 30 tech deals (comparing to 25 in 2023 and 41 in 2022)!
See below our short summary:
– 17/30 deals included advisory for the investors (investment funds, family offices, private investors), so once again we mostly advise investors on tech deals but also tech companies more and more refer to us their legal matters;
– 17/30 deals are still confidential, because investors and the companies decided not to disclose the market (and competitors) about the raised rounds/transactions;
– 6 /30 deals included M&A deals – they included sale of 100% or majority stake in the company to strategic or financial investors;
– 4 / 30 deals were of transborder dimension and included other than Poland jurisdictions such as:UK oraz Netherlands;
– 19 / 30 deals included tech companies that have already raised financing before;
– 6 /30 deals included convertible debt alike financing;
– 12/30 deals included coinvestments (more than 1 investor was involved);
– 5 M EUR – is the highest amount of financing that was made to the tech company involving a deal where we advised on;
– 1 billion EUR – is the highest valuation of the Client we were instructed to work for;
– 7 days – the fastest deal we closed from being instructed to closing the deal;
– 8 legal opinions we wrote for the Clients;
– 4 offers to merge or to be acquired we received as a law firm.
How are we going to perform in 2025?
We expect more and more crossborder deals and more investments involving family offices and private Clients.
