2025 Review
2025 was another very strong year for SSK&W law firm, both in terms of the number and quality of technology transactions on which we had the pleasure to advise.
At the same time, it was a year of clear strategic focus on three key areas of our practice:
a) technology transactions (M&A / VC / JV);
b) strategic and ongoing advisory for long-term Clients;
c) advisory for private Clients, in particular within a family office model.
2025 Summary
In 2025, we advised on 20 technology transactions
(for comparison: 2024 – 30, 2023 – 25, 2022 – 41).
The lower year-on-year number of transactions is a deliberate strategic choice.
We focus on the most complex projects and on long-term cooperation with Clients who increasingly invite us to participate also in joint business ventures. We treat this as the highest expression of trust.
Selected Statistics (2025)
7 / 20 transactions – investor-side advisory (funds, family offices, private investors)
→ we increasingly advise companies, not only investors
11 / 20 transactions – confidential projects (no market disclosure)
10 / 20 transactions – classic M&A (sale of 100% or a controlling stake)
10 / 20 transactions – cross-border transactions
7 / 20 transactions – venture capital
1 / 20 transactions – convertible debt
4 / 7 VC transactions – co-investments (more than one investor)
> EUR 1 billion – highest Client valuation we worked on
(3 Clients in the “unicorn” category)
10 family foundations – advisory on establishment and transactions involving family foundations
Selected Transactions in 2025
Below are several projects we found particularly interesting:
-
Xplorer Fund – exit from Photon Entertainment
-
Sale of a medical centre in Warsaw (private Clients)
-
Quantum Systems – strategic transaction concerning Weles Acoustics
-
Platform Science – strategic transaction involving Trimble’s business
-
Cyber360 – investment by Simpact Ventures
-
TrustMate S.A. – entry into the Romanian market and a growth financing round
-
Binderless – financing from Kogito Ventures and business angels
What’s Next in 2026?
The new year looks equally intensive:
-
further cross-border transactions,
-
continued development of family office and private Client advisory,
-
new investment projects,
-
a new visual identity for the firm and at least one new team member.
We are entering 2026 with strong momentum and energy.
